The snow is still very present in the French resort this weekend and throughout the Easter weekend, the site provides Skiinfo.fr.
A few inches of snow is expected over the Alps and the Pyrenees. However, it is always in Southern Alps that average snowfall is the best with about 205 cm above the tracks.
The snowpack is the largest ever found in Chamonix, in the northern Alps.
In the Southern Alps, the average height of the top tracks stands at 205 cm. In the northern Alps, it reached 170 cm. It will take on average 90 cm of snow in the Pyrenees.
According Skiinfo.fr, winter snowfall of ten inches are expected by the end of the week. They will strengthen the snowpack of the major French resorts.
However, the website warns skiers against the risk of avalanches. The Alps, North and South, are mainly concerned.
